The Board of Directors of the Magaliesberg Biosphere was elected by it’s stakeholders in December 2015. The Board was officially inaugurated by the MEC for the Noth West Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development Department (READ) in July 2016, at a ceremony attended by landowners, representatives of Gauteng Provincial Government, local municipality representatives and community representatives around the Madibeng.

Currently there are 11 Directors, who serve as the management entity for the Magaliesberg Biosphere. They provide strategic and policy direction for the promotion and sustainable development and utilisation of the biosphere.
